Ryan Matthews

Ryan Matthews has a diverse work experience in the oil and gas industry. Ryan started their career in 2009 at SABIC as a Production Technician, focusing on the hot end of Olefins 6 plant. Ryan then moved to Atlantic Resourcing Limited as a Production Technician, before joining Petrofac in 2013. At Petrofac, they worked as a Production Technician on the Douglas Platform, handling various operational duties and supporting the Conwy project. In 2017, they joined Bumi Armada as a Production Technician and eventually became the Lead Tech/CRO.

Ryan Matthews attended Teesside University from 2011 to 2013, where they obtained a Higher National Certificate in Chemical Engineering. Prior to that, from 2009 to 2013, they completed an Advanced Apprenticeship in TVPT at TTE Training School. Ryan's high school education took place from 2004 to 2009 at Eston Park Secondary School, where they earned 11 A*-C GCSEs. In addition to their formal education, Ryan also obtained several certifications, including an Oil in Water sample analysis verification from Intertek in 2014, an Authorised Gas Tester certification from Petrofac in 2013, and a BOSIET certification from OPITO in May 2013. Ryan also received certifications in various process technology levels and plant operations throughout 2010-2013.
