Sam Interlicchia

Mr. Interlicchia joined BLE in 2003 as a Project Manager in the Asheville, NC office and has over 25 years of geotechnical and construction materials engineering experience in the Western North Carolina area. He has extensive experience in the testing and analysis of construction materials including soils, concrete and asphaltic concrete. His technical responsibilities involved management and review of quality control and quality assurance activities on construction projects.

He has been involved in the inspection of shallow foundation systems, drilled piers, excavation, fill control, subgrade preparation, dewatering of construction sites and pavement placement. Projects have included commercial and office buildings, school sites, parking decks, water filtration, and wastewater processing plants. He has also worked on several multi-story projects in the Western North Carolina area that incorporated both deep and shallow foundation systems.

His deep foundation experience includes design and construction of displacement and non-displacement driven piles, auger cast piles, micropiles, and drilled shafts. Mr. Interlicchia holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering Technology from Asheville/Buncombe Technical College.
