Philip Taylor has extensive experience in the field of product design and digital experiences. Philip has worked at various companies, starting with Feedia in 2008 as a Web Designer, where they gained skills in visual design, flash projects, and front-end development. Philip then joined Zeroseven as a Digital Designer, collaborating closely with clients, producers, designers, and developers to create visual concepts and interfaces for a range of projects.
In 2012, Philip moved on to The White Agency, where they held the role of Senior Digital Designer and took the design lead on various clients, demonstrating a deep understanding and knowledge of each brand. Philip also worked on Melbourne-based clients such as Sussan and Momentum Energy.
Following their time at The White Agency, Philip took on the role of Senior Digital Designer at Leo Burnett Melbourne, where they embraced digital as an effective channel for engaging mass audiences. Philip contributed their creative expertise to campaigns and collaborated with advertising professionals to bring campaigns to the digital space.
In 2016, Philip joined Pugh Morgan as a UX/UI Designer, focusing on evolving beautiful brands into digital experiences. Philip worked with a small team of experts, crafting and considering digital products.
Philip's work experience also includes roles at Australia Post, where they worked as a Product Designer in various areas such as accounts, consumer deliveries, and small business. Philip redesigned the account experience to improve customer access to different products and created new features for the MyPost logged-in experience.
Additionally, Philip worked at Online Education Services (OES), where they led the product design for the eLA interventions program, aimed at supporting online teachers in identifying students who needed additional help with their courses.
Philip's most recent experience is with Bunnings, where they held roles as a Senior Product Designer in the Innovation Lab and as a Product Design Lead for the Bunnings App, focusing on app design and leading the product design team.
Philip Taylor's education history begins with their graduation from Second Wave Dive in 2022, where they obtained a degree in Strategic Business Thinking with a focus on Design Strategy. Prior to that, in 2014, they attended AWARD School but did not pursue a degree or field of study.
In the earlier years, Philip attended QUT (Queensland University of Technology) from 2006 to 2010, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Business (Advertising) and Creative Industries (Communication Design). Philip'seducational journey started at Whitsunday Anglican School, where they completed their primary and secondary education between 2001 and 2005.
In addition to their formal education, Philip Taylor has also obtained certifications. In 2020, they completed a certification in Product Management from RMIT Online. More recently, in June 2023, they obtained a certification in Designing Strategy – Uniting rigor and creativity to create a successful strategy from IDEO U.
