Klaus Vehns

Klaus Vehns has extensive work experience in the banking industry. In 1996, they started their career as a Relationship Manager Project Finance at LB Kiel. Klaus then moved on to first-e, the internet bank, where they served as the Head of Business Development from 2000 to 2001. From 2001 to 2004, Klaus worked at comdirect bank AG as the Director of Business Development.

In 2004, they joined BMW as the Head of Direct Banking, a role they held until 2012. Subsequently, Klaus became the General Manager of RaboDirect Germany from 2012 to 2016. Klaus then transitioned to the position of General Manager Germany at Rabobank, where they worked from 2016 to 2023. During their time at Rabobank, they also served as the Head of Direct Banking Europe from 2019 until 2023.

Most recently, Klaus Vehns has taken on the role of CGO - Chief Growth Officer at bunq, starting in April 2023.

Klaus Vehns pursued their education at Heidelberg University, where they obtained a Diplom Volkswirt degree in Volkswirtschaftslehre. Klaus attended the university from 1992 to 1996.
