Cathy Cook

Cathy Cook has over 15 years of experience in management and leadership roles within the Bureau of Land Management, currently serving as District Manager for the Rocky Mountain District, overseeing approximately 1.8 million surface acres and 12 million acres of subsurface minerals. Previous roles include Deputy Chief of the Fluid Minerals Division, where responsibility included national team leadership and project management, and program lead for the Oil and Gas program with a budget of $138 million. Additional leadership experience includes serving as Executive Dean at Spokane Community College, where fiscal management involved budgets of approximately $3 million, and Director of the Community & Business Services Department at the University of Alaska, where the creation of educational programs was a key focus. Cathy Cook's educational background includes doctoral work in Geophysics and advanced degrees in Geology and Geophysics from the University of Montana.
