Clayton Schmidt is an experienced professional with a robust background in web management and digital media, currently serving as the National Conservation Lands HQ Web Team Lead at the Bureau of Land Management since October 2017. In this role, Clayton oversees compliance for internal and external webpages while facilitating government consultations. Previously, Clayton held positions as Digital Media Branch Chief and Social Media Lead, where presentations on web and social media solutions significantly enhanced public engagement with BLM initiatives. Additionally, as a Visual Information Specialist, Clayton utilized graphic design and storytelling to improve program outreach. A recent experience as a UX Designer at Moment Studio involved collaborating on user interface designs for a networking app, utilizing Figma for prototyping. With foundational expertise in GIS from prior roles at BLM and a solid educational background in Geography with a focus on Cartography and Remote Sensing from the University of Arkansas, Clayton also completed foundational studies in UX/UI at Avocademy.
