Stuart Soares

Stuart Soares has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Stuart is currently the Head of Operations at Bureau Veritas Group, where they manage the Sines branch office and oversees revenue performance, growth, and operations management. Prior to this role, Stuart worked as a QC Specialist at QatarEnergy, where they reviewed Quality Plans and coordinated with third-party agencies. Stuart also has experience as a Pipeline Lead Engineer at ISQ and as a QA/QC Project Engineer at ISQapave. Stuart's early career includes roles as a Quality Project Manager and Gas Pipeline Engineer at ISQ. Throughout their career, Stuart has demonstrated strong leadership skills, financial acumen, and a focus on operational efficiency.

Stuart Soares holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Mechanical Engineering from ISEL - Instituto Superior De Engenharia De Lisboa, which they obtained between 1994 and 1998. Stuart further pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution from 2006 to 2008. In 2009, they completed a Post Graduation in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Materials, Welding, and Corrosion of Gas Pipelines from ISEL. Stuart has obtained various certifications throughout their career, including Cathodic Protection Technician from NACE International, Certified Welding Inspector from the American Welding Society, Visual Testing EN ISO 9712 Level II from SECTOR Cert, and HUET Offshore STCW95 from Sonangol Starfish Oil & Gas, among others.
