Carsten Bo Petersen

Carsten Bo Petersen is an experienced engineer with a specialized focus on combustion and fuel handling systems. Currently serving as an Old School Engineer at BERKES since January 2022 and as a Manager of Combustion and Fuel Handling Systems at Burmeister & Wain Scandinavian Contractor A/S since February 2017, Carsten has held a similar managerial role at Burmeister & Wain Energy A/S since April 1990. Expertise includes technical specifications, layouts, and in-house design for various combustion systems, particularly for fossil and biomass fuel applications. Carsten has contributed to the field through multiple publications and presentations, notably receiving the Best Paper Award at Power-Gen Europe in 2011. Carsten holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark and has a comprehensive education background, including military training and various educational institutions.
