Joshua Hayward

Joshua Hayward is a Bioinformatician & Senior Research Officer at Burnet Institute, where Joshua specializes in the discovery and characterization of novel retroviruses in Australian mammals. Joshua is also a PhD candidate with a focus on the antiviral defenses of bats at Monash University. Additionally, Joshua has experience as an Adjunct Lecturer, Examiner, and Curriculum Developer at Monash University, as well as a Teaching Associate and Data Analyst. Joshua holds a Ph.D. in Microbiology and a Bachelor of Science Advanced with Honours in Microbiology and Molecular Biology.
