Elizabeth A. Stefanski is a Member in the Philadelphia office of Burns White. Experienced in complex state and federal litigation matters, Ms. Stefanski focuses her practice on defending healthcare providers and medical professionals against both professional and general liability matters.
Ms. Stefanski is actively involved in the legal community. She has been a speaker at Pennsylvania Health Care Association (PHCA) events, most recently focusing on the effects of social media on the healthcare industry, and volunteers with the Philadelphia Elder Justice and Civil Resource Center. She is also a member of the firm’s Women’s Initiative.
Prior to joining Burns White, she worked as an Associate at an insurance defense firm in Philadelphia, where she represented and defended corporations, medical device manufacturers, hospitals, construction companies, and individuals in the areas of general liability, products liability, medical malpractice, and construction matters.
Ms. Stefanski graduated from Widener University School of Law. While in law school, Ms. Stefanski served as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Hon. Matthew D. Carrafiello, presiding civil trial judge in the Court of Common Pleas for the First Judicial District of Pennsylvania. She received her Bachelor of Arts from Villanova University, where she majored in Political Science and minored in Business. Ms. Stefanski also served as Vice President of Pi Sigma Alpha, the political science honor society.
Ms. Stefanski is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.
