James Ogada has a diverse work experience spanning various organizations and roles. James started their career as an Intern at African Alliance in 2009, followed by internships at the United Nations Environment Programme in 2010 and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in 2013. In 2014, James worked as an Account Executive at Reelforge Media Monitoring and as a Research Associate at Millward Brown.
In 2016, James joined the Busara Center for Behavioral Economics as a Junior Associate, where they conducted an inquiry into the Kenyan banking industry in collaboration with FSD-K and Kenya's Competition Authority. James then advanced to the role of Associate, working on evidence-driven innovation in the Tanzanian Financial Services space. James later became a Senior Associate, leading a project with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to understand digital credit in Kenya, Nigeria, and India. Currently, James holds the position of Engagement Director at the Busara Center.
James Ogada obtained their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Business & Communications from Abilene Christian University. James attended this university from 2008 to 2012. Following this, James attended the University of Liverpool from 2014 to 2015, where they pursued studies in International Management, although they did not attain a specific degree during this time.
