Monica L. Bowe is the EVP and Chief Risk Officer of First Busey Corporation. Monica has over 20 years of experience in the financial industry, with a focus on risk management.

Monica started their career as a financial analyst at National City Bank in 1996. Monica then moved to QualChoice in 2000, where they served as a senior financial analyst. In 2003, they joined KeyBank, where they served as the Senior Director of Operational Risk Program Management. In this role, they were responsible for providing strategic direction, leadership and oversight for Operational Risk, including Operational Losses, Stress Testing and Corporate Insurance.

In their current role at First Busey Corporation, Monica is responsible for managing risk across the enterprise. Monica works with various departments to identify and assess emerging and existing risks, and develops and executes strategies to mitigate these risks. Monica also oversees the company's stress testing program and corporate insurance coverage.

Monica is a respected leader in the financial industry, and is active in various industry consortiums and working groups. Monica is dedicated to helping First Busey Corporation navigate the ever-changing landscape of risk management.

Monica L. Bowe received their B.S. in Accounting from Case Western Reserve University and their MBA in Finance from Cleveland State University. Monica is certified as a Certified Public Accountant from the State of Ohio.
