Juha-Pekka Pöntinen

Juha-Pekka Pöntinen's work experience starts in 1981 at STARK / DT Finland Oy, where they held various roles such as Sales, Business Controller, Field Manager, Development Manager, CFO, Sourcing Director, and finally CEO until 2016. From 2008 to 2016, they also worked as SVP DT-Group at Ferguson plc. After leaving STARK / DT Finland Oy, they became a Board Member of various organizations such as the Finnish Commerce Federation, Puuinfo oy, and SPY Suomen puutavarakauppiaiden yhdistys, where they also served as Chairman of the Board. In 2010, they became a Board Member of Tuote- ja palvelukaupan yhdistys ETU | The Association of Products and Services Trade ETU until 2017. In 2018, they worked as a Senior Advisor before joining STARK GROUP Sourcing as a Group Own Brand Manager. Juha-Pekka later became a Senior Advisor at the same company. Since 2020, they have been a Board Member of Tampereen Vuokra-asunnot Oy. Most recently, in 2022, they joined Business Finland as a Senior Director of Procurement.

Juha-Pekka Pöntinen pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from LUT University, which they completed from 2006 to 2014. Juha-Pekka also attended Tampere University of Applied Sciences from 1979 to 1981, where they earned a BBA degree with a focus on Marketing. Additionally, they participated in various development programs at IMD, including the Wolseley ELP program in 2014, the Wolsley senior development program in 2010, and the Wolseley executive development program at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business in 2007.
