Andy Charles has had a diverse range of work experience. Andy started their career as a General Assistant at Tesco PLC in 1993 and worked there until 1996. Andy then worked as an Assistant Manager at Foodworld Trading GmbH from 1996 to 1997. Andy returned to Tesco as a Dot Com Customer Delivery Driver from 1997 to 2002. Andy then joined Inenco Group as a Data Controller from 2002 to 2003. Andy's longest tenure was at Lloyds Banking Group, where they worked as a Halifax Branch Manager from 2003 to 2016. During their time at Lloyds, they focused on improving customer service and managing branch growth. Andy also worked as a Sales and Marketing Director at Danbro from 2016 to 2017, where they developed strategies for business growth. Additionally, they held a secondment as a Business Connector at Business In The Community from 2015 to 2017, where they built partnerships and supported sustainable development. In 2017, Andy took on the role of Blackpool Pride of Place Partnership Director at Business in the Community, where they launched and led a business-led group focused on promoting economic development and addressing local challenges.

Andy Charles has a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Business Administration, Management, and Operations from The Manchester Metropolitan University. Andy also holds an Advanced Diploma in Retail Banking from Middlesex University. In addition, Andy has obtained a certification in CeMAP from the IFS School of Finance in 2007.
