Kelly Houston, PHR, obtained their Bachelor's degree in Biology, General from Aurora University, where they studied from 2012 to 2015. Prior to that, they earned an Associate's degree in Biology/Biological Sciences, General from the College of DuPage, where they attended from 2010 to 2012.

In terms of additional certifications, Kelly obtained their Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification from the HR Certification Institute (HRCI) in April 2022. Before that, they acquired the Fundamentals in Health Benefits certification from the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans (IFEBP) in March 2020. In September 2019, they obtained two certifications: IS-100.C from FEMA and Introduction to Group Health Plans from IFEBP. Prior to these, in November 2018, they obtained the aPHR certification from the HR Certification Institute. Kelly also has certifications in Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) from the American Heart Association and Outdoor Emergency Care from the National Ski Patrol, which were acquired in May 2008.
