William Lane

William Lane has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. William started their career in 1985 as a Manager at Marriott Family Restaurants, where they assisted with operations and managed a test kitchen. In 1986, they joined A&W International as a Manager, responsible for all aspects of restaurant management.

Lane then transitioned to LANE'S HARDWARE, where they served as the General Manager for over 22 years. In this role, they oversaw all operations of a full-service hardware store and managed the commercial sales division.

In 2009, Lane joined Busy Beaver Building Centers as a General Store Manager, overseeing a home center and lumberyard. William later became the Merchandise Manager, responsible for product assortment, pricing, and working closely with suppliers.

Lane then moved on to Equiparts in 2013, taking on the role of Director of Purchasing. William managed the materials management and purchasing function and focused on improving customer service and operational efficiency.

In 2014, Lane became the Operations Manager at Penstan Supply, responsible for increasing effectiveness and efficiency in purchasing and operations.

Returning to Busy Beaver Building Centers in 2015, Lane served as the Director of Operations, overseeing a portfolio of locations and ensuring compliance with administrative policies. William then progressed to become the General Manager, leading and developing a team of associates to achieve sales goals while focusing on shrink and inventory control.

Most recently, Lane became the Director of Operations at Busy Beaver Building Centers, where they direct, monitors, and assures implementation of operational processes and procedures to achieve sales, profit, and customer service objectives. William works closely with the General Manager to provide guidance and feedback to associates, ensuring their development and accountability.

William Lane attended Franklin Regional High School but there is no information about when they began and completed their studies there. William then went on to attend The Pennsylvania State University from 1980 to 1984, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel, Restaurant and Institution Management.
