Alex McConnell has worked in the digital product and marketing space since 2012. Alex began their career as a Marketing Communications Consultant for Cision in 2012, then became a self-employed Consultant / Self-Employed in 2013. In 2015, they joined Gousto as a Growth Product & Marketing, where they delivered foundational core digital products, customer delight, and growth outcomes, leading to Gousto's $1bn+ valuation. In 2018, McConnell moved to Butternut Box, where they held the role of Digital Product Director and Head of Digital Product. In this role, they were responsible for the development of freshly prepared dog food, cooked like one would at home, delivered in perfect portions.
Alex McConnell received a BaHons in Marketing Communications & Advertising from Kingston University in 2012. In 2020, they obtained a Product Strategy certification from Reforge, a Programming for Data Science with Python Nanodegree from Udacity, and a Scrum Alliance Certified Product Owner certification from Scrum Alliance.
