Betsy Landen Handelman

Betsy Landen Handelman is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in food safety, quality assurance, and compliance across various food industry roles. Currently serving as Senior Director of Food Safety & Compliance for the Fresh Division at Buyers Edge Platform since January 2022, Betsy leads a team dedicated to supporting Produce Alliance and Fresh Concepts brands. Previous roles include Food Safety Manager at Produce Alliance and Quality Assurance Regulatory Manager at Highland Baking Company, where Betsy implemented programs to ensure compliance with FDA and GFSI regulations. Betsy's background also includes consultancy at Technomic and marketing roles that contributed to significant sales growth at Sysco. An alumna of Cornell University, Betsy holds a Bachelor's Degree from the School of Hotel Administration.
