Florian Funke

Florian Funke has worked as a Data Scientist since 2018. From 2018 to 2019, they worked at the Fraunhofer Institute for Transportation and Infrastructure Systems IVI, where they developed Big Data/AI technologies, such as data analysis, data modeling, and data visualization with a focus on predictive and prescriptive models as well as post-mortem analysis. Florian applied these technologies to real-time production line monitoring, car-to-X communication systems, and natural language generation. From 2019 to 2022, they worked as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at Technische Universität Dresden. Since 2022, they have been employed as a Data Scientist at Buynomics.

Florian Funke obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from The University of Bonn between 2008 and 2012. Florian then spent a year in an exchange program at the University of Oxford in 2010-2011. After returning to The University of Bonn, Funke completed a Master of Science in Mathematics in 2012-2013, followed by a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the same university in 2014-2018.
