Charlie Colvin

Charlie Colvin has extensive work experience in the field of structural engineering. Charlie started their career in 2002 as a Staff Engineer at Opterra Inc. In 2003, they joined BWE, Inc. as a Principal Associate, where they designed, detailed, and managed structural engineering projects for low to mid-rise buildings in various sectors such as military, school, hospital, commercial, retail, and residential. After ten years in this role, Charlie became a Principal at BWE, Inc. in 2013, where they continued to design, detail, and manage structural engineering projects, focusing on building solutions in different structural mediums such as hot rolled steel, concrete, timber, masonry, and cold-formed steel. Charlie recently transitioned to the role of President at BWE, Inc. in March 2021.

Charlie Colvin attended UC San Diego from 1998 to 2002, where they studied Structural Engineering. Charlie obtained a degree in Engineering with a focus on this field of study.
