Shlomo Katz has had a diverse range of work experiences throughout their career. Shlomo began in 1993 as an Oracle DBA and Unix Sys Admin at Motorola, where they were responsible for managing computing workstations and the Product Data Management application system. In 1998, they joined Paz Oil Company as C.T.O. and CISO, where they managed multiple teams and oversaw computing services and infrastructure. From 2014 to 2016, Katz served as the Data Center & N.O.C. Manager at Teva Pharmaceuticals. Following that, they worked as a Senior IT Consultant at Strauss Strategy, where they handled strategic projects at enterprise companies. Katz then joined the Israel National Cyber Directorate in 2017 as the Cyber Security Department Manager. Most recently, in 2020, they became an Information Technology Lecturer at The Academic College of Tel-Aviv, Yaffo. Currently, they hold the role of Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Bynet Data Communications.
Shlomo Katz completed a C.I.O. course at Johnbryce + Bitplus in 2002. Shlomo obtained an M.B.A. degree from the University of Haifa in 2004. In 1995, they attended IBM College for the Computer Software Engineering Program for Scientific Engineers. Prior to that, they pursued a B.S.c degree in Mechanical Engineering at Technion - Israel Institute of Technology from 1986 to 1990.
