Yani Castro

Yani Castro, SHRM-SCP, has a comprehensive work history in the field of Human Resources. Currently serving as the Director of Human Resources at Byrne since June 2021, Yani is responsible for supporting and directing strategic organizational goals, overseeing HR operations, talent acquisition, and organizational development for national and international entities.

Prior to joining Byrne, Yani held the role of Senior Human Resources Manager at the same company from September 2020 to June 2021. In this position, Yani served as a key business partner, focusing on reinforcing culture, driving strategic HR initiatives, and creating positive employee experiences. Yani also provided oversight for HR operations, payroll and benefits, legal compliance, and talent acquisition across multiple facilities and legal entities.

From February 2020 to September 2020, Yani worked as a Human Resources Operations Manager at an undisclosed multi-facility organization. The role involved leading the HR operations team, managing payroll, benefits, safety, policy development, and employee relations.

Before joining Byrne, Yani worked at Praxis Packaging Solutions for over a decade. From August 2018 to February 2020, Yani served as the Senior Manager of Workforce Development, responsible for implementing HR policies and programs to ensure organizational compliance. This involved workforce training and administration, position certification training programs, on-the-job training, new employee orientation, and leadership development.

Prior to the role mentioned above, Yani worked as the Human Resources Manager at Praxis Packaging Solutions from January 2014 to September 2018. Yani Castro, SHRM-SCP, has an extensive education history. In 2019, Yani obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration, General from Davenport University. Prior to that, Yani had also earned an Associate's degree in Human Resources Management and Services from the same university.

In terms of additional certifications, Yani obtained the SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential from SHRM in January 2018. This certification highlights Yani's advanced knowledge and skills in the field of human resources. In September 2020, Yani also completed a COVID-19 Contact Tracing course offered by The Johns Hopkins University.
