Nita is a licensed attorney and serves as a principal in the Washington National Tax Office of PwC, where she advises both US and foreign-based companies on tax policy issues and assists them with international tax planning. Prior to rejoining PwC, she served as legislation counsel for the Joint Committee on Taxation (JCT), a nonpartisan committee of the United States Congress. During her time at JCT, Nita was heavily involved in the development of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 (TCJA). Additionally, she met with taxpayers and their representatives to understand their concerns and then translated those concerns to Congressional tax-writing committee and Treasury staff and assisted with the development of draft technical corrections meant to carry out TCJA.
Nita earned her bachelor’s from the University of North Carolina, a JD from North Carolina Central University School of Law, and a Master of Laws in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center.
