Kunjie Xu

Kunjie Xu is a seasoned software engineer currently serving as a Staff Software Engineer at ByteDance since April 2022, focusing on integrating big data technologies into software-defined networking (SDN). Previously, Kunjie held the position of Staff Software Engineer at Citrix, where major contributions included the development of a big data platform on Azure for cloud-based analytics services. Prior experience includes work at Intel Corporation as a Senior Software Engineer, utilizing network virtualization and machine learning acceleration technologies, and at Ericsson as a Software Engineer III, contributing to the development of advanced IP router and gateway platforms. Kunjie began the academic journey as a Graduate Student Researcher at the University of Pittsburgh, culminating in a Ph.D. in Computing and Information, complemented by a Master's degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a Bachelor's degree from Southeast University. Earlier internships involved applying machine learning in wireless solutions at Verizon and developing a statistics platform for network performance analysis at China Telecom.
