Lawrie Houghton

Head Of Technology at C.Hoare & Co

Lawrie Houghton began their work experience in 1987 as an IT Manager at the City of London, where they managed a team of IT professionals and oversaw the delivery of IT services to the Technical Services Department. Lawrie then moved on to NatWest in 1995, where they served as an IT Services Manager, responsible for managing the IT and Operations Team supporting the Group Internal Audit function. Houghton joined C. Hoare & Co in 2001 as a Programme Manager, leading the core banking replacement programme. Lawrie later served as the Deputy Head of IT and then as the Head of Business Change, during which time they successfully delivered a range of strategic initiatives and projects for the bank. In 2016, Houghton became the Head of Technology at C. Hoare & Co and also served as the Interim CIO, managing the IT department and supporting a portfolio of applications.

Lawrie Houghton has an education history that includes an MBA, a Diploma in Management Studies, and a DipABRSM in Piano. Lawrie obtained their MBA from 1991 to 1993, earning a Distinction in the field of study. Furthermore, they pursued a Diploma in Management Studies from 1987 to 2000. Lastly, in 2003, they completed a DipABRSM in Piano.
