Steve Calderone

VP of Process Technology at C-Zero

Steve Calderone has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Steve is currently the VP of Process Technology at C-Zero since May 2021. Prior to this, they held the position of Director of Engineering at Aemetis Technologies, Inc., starting in May 2019.

Steve also worked at SGC Consultants LLC as a Principle Engineer from July 2018 to May 2019, where they were later hired by Aemetis as a team member. Before that, they served as the Director of Process Technology at Zhongying Changjiang International New Energy Investment Co., Ltd from February 2017 to September 2018, and as a Project Manager from February 2014 to February 2017.

Their experience also includes the role of Director of Process Technology at Wuhan Kaidi General Research Institute for Engineering and Technology, Co. Ltd. from February 2017 to July 2018. Before that, they were a Senior Process Technology Manager at Coskata Inc., now reorganized as Synata Bio, from January 2007 to January 2014.

Steve also worked as a Project Manager and Senior Project Manager at Coskata, responsible for the technology demonstration plant from January 2007 to January 2012. Steve began their career at Unitel Technologies, Inc. as the Vice President of Sales and Marketing from July 1998 to January 2007.

Before that, they served as the Director of Sales at Viridian Technologies, Inc. from July 1995 to July 1998, and held the position of Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Xytel Corporation from August 1987 to July 1995. Steve initially joined Xytel Corporation as a Project Manager/Process Design Engineer from July 1982 to August 1987.

Steve Calderone attended the University of Illinois Chicago from 1977 to 1979, but did not earn a degree or pursue a specific field of study during this time. Steve later attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 1979 to 1982, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering.
