JOB SUMMARY:
The East Coast Retail Compliance Analyst is responsible for implementing an effective Retail Compliance Program in C3 Industries’ East Coast market. The East Coast Retail Compliance Analyst will play a crucial role orchestrating a reliable system for risk management and internal controls, fostering a compliance-centric culture, and executing actions with rigor to effectively address risks to C3 Industries’ premium cannabis brands and retail dispensaries.
JOB DUTIES:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Establish and maintain operations, policies, procedures, resources, and systems to adhere to applicable State and Municipal cannabis regulations for new and existing retail facilities.
- Monitor and routinely audit sites to assure operations, policies, procedures, resources, and systems to adhere to applicable State and Municipal cannabis regulations.
- Analyze and report any regulatory deficiencies to appropriate key stakeholders and coordinate the correction action and preventative action efforts as applicable.
- Collaborate with cross functional leaders to create and maintain appropriate and relevant regulatory-support documents for each department.
- Collaborate with cross functional leaders to navigate complex regulatory situations for new and existing retail facilities.
- Be primary point of contact for all external communications and scheduled audits.
- Stay current with State and Municipal laws pertaining to operations and ensure compliance with such laws; update compliance documentation and processes as regulations and laws change.
- Work with Learning and Development team to assure regulation-required training is developed, issued, and updated as necessary to meet applicable State and Municipal cannabis regulations.
- Foster a culture of compliance, transparency, and communication across new and existing retail facilities.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- 4+ years of experience in compliance or quality control
- Must be able and willing to travel to various company locations in the Northeast on a routine basis.
- Cannabis industry experience is preferred, but not required.
- Ability to use and manage METRC and retail POS.
- Microsoft efficient, with ability to learn new software’s.
- Ability to read and understand laws, ordinances, rules and regulations.
- Excellent project management and organization skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build resilient relationships with internal and external contacts.
- Ability to communicate clearly and accurately with regulating bodies and internal partners.
- High attention to detail, and experience analyzing and reporting on high volumes of data.
- Must be at least 21 years of age and able to pass a background check.
- Must be able to obtain & maintain required state licenses based on work location.
