John Barkhouse

John Barkhouse has a diverse range of work experience spanning different industries and roles. John is currently the Chief Executive Officer at Cabinetworks Group since November 2021. Prior to that, they served as the Chairman of the Board at Clarios, a leading energy storage solutions company, from May 2019 to November 2021. John also held the position of President, CEO, and Chairman of the Board at Clarios from May 2019 to May 2020. Before joining Clarios, John held various roles, including Managing Director at Brookfield Asset Management from September 2018 to November 2021. John was also the President, CEO, and Director at Newalta from 2014 to 2018, where they successfully executed the company's lean and cost-effective environmental services strategy and led a strategic merger. Prior to that, they served as Group President at Shawcor Pipeline Performance and Senior Vice President at Bredero Shaw. John also held roles at Irving Shipbuilding, Caterpillar Inc., and Perkins Engines Company Limited. Through their extensive experience, John has demonstrated expertise in strategy development, business growth, profitability improvement, and successful leadership of global and diverse teams in different industries.

John Barkhouse has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Bradley University. John also holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree from Dalhousie University and a Certificate in Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from Acadia University.
