Albert Akerman has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. Albert began their career in 1992 as an Assistant Vice President and IT Audit Manager at Daiwa Securities America Incorporated. In 1993, they moved to JP Morgan as a Vice President. Albert then joined Fidelity Investments in 1997 as a Global Brokerage Audit Manager. In 1999, they became the VP & Chief Compliance Officer & Chief Audit Executive at Mitsubishi UFJ Securities. In 2001, they moved to Barclays Capital, Incorporated as a Senior Compliance Manager. In 2004, they became the Chief Compliance Officer at The Seaport Group, LLC. In 2005, they moved to DLA Inc as the Chief Compliance Officer. In 2010, they joined Andrew Garrett, Inc. as Senior Managing Director, Supervising Principal, and CCO. In 2011, they moved to Cabot Lodge Securities as Executive Vice President & CCO. In 2015, they joined Strateegic Management Associates LLC as Principal and Managing Member.

Albert Akerman's education history includes a Specialized Diploma from Brooklyn Technical High School, obtained from 1966 to 1970, a BA in Economics and Accounting from City University of New York-Queens College, obtained from 1970 to 1974, and a Master of Business Administration - MBA in Finance and Financial Management Services from St. John's University, obtained from 1978 to 1981. Albert also obtained additional certifications, including FINRA from FINRA in 1993, Certified Information Systems Auditor from ISACA in 1987, Commissioned Federal Bank Examiner in 1978, and CFSA from Institute of Internal Auditors.
