Lou Nemeth

Director Of Flight Operations at CAE

Lou Nemeth has had a diverse and accomplished career in the aviation industry. Lou began their career in 1979 as a Captain, Training Manager, Instructor, Program Development, and CRM/AQP at US Airways, where they worked until 2006. During this time, they gained extensive experience in training and program development.

In 1979, Nemeth also served as the Director of Flight Operations at Flight International until 1984.

In 1995, Nemeth founded and became the Managing Member of Training Innovations Group, LLC. Lou successfully raised startup capital and developed a simulation technology that was licensed to Teledyne Controls and used by 20 flight training organizations worldwide.

From 1999 to 2002, Nemeth served as Chairman and Co-founder of KIVALO, Inc, where they raised funds for a diabetes telemetry management system and built a remote health management system for chronically ill children.

From 2001 to 2006, Nemeth worked as a Consultant at Embry-Riddle Aero University. Lou was the primary architect of the CAPT program, which focused on training career changers in the aviation industry.

Most recently, Nemeth has been working at CAE since 2006. Lou started as the Chief Safety Officer and in September 2020, was promoted to Director of Flight Operations.

Lou Nemeth, FRAeS, MSNDR, ATP earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Aviation Management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University from 1972 to 1976. In 2015 and 2016, Lou Nemeth attended Creighton University and obtained a master's degree in Negotiations and Dispute Resolution with a focus on International and Organizational Negotiations and Dispute Resolution. Additionally, Lou Nemeth holds additional certifications as a Florida Supreme Court Qualified Arbitrator and a Training Course Evaluator from the Federal Aviation Administration - FAA.
