Paweł Mitka

Paweł Mitka has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over 16 years. Paweł is currently working at CAE as the Director of Software Engineering since January 2024. In this role, they lead the Flight Services Platform team, the Portfolio Architecture team, and the UI Center of Excellence team. Paweł also represents Flight Services Architecture outside of the organization.

Prior to CAE, Paweł worked at Brainly from February 2021 to April 2022. Initially, they served as a Solutions Architect, where they consulted on software solutions and researched and developed solutions to improve software engineers' productivity. Later, they took on the role of Senior Lead Engineer and led several teams in the research and development of backend, frontend, and mobile apps.

Before Brainly, Paweł worked at Sabre Corporation for multiple years in various software engineering roles. Paweł started as a Senior Software Developer/Analyst in October 2011 and eventually progressed to the position of Senior Principal Software Engineer before leaving in January 2021. During their time at Sabre Corporation, Paweł gained experience in leading software development teams and was involved in the entire software development lifecycle.

Paweł's career also includes stints at Elmiko Medical sp. z o.o., Mentor Graphics, Łukasiewicz Research Network, and The Silesian University of Technology, where they held roles ranging from Software Engineer to Guest Lecturer. These experiences further showcase their breadth of knowledge and expertise in software engineering.

Paweł Mitka completed their Master of Science in Engineering degree in Electronics and Telecommunications from The Silesian University of Technology, where they studied from 2002 to 2008. Paweł also holds several additional certifications, including being a Google Cloud Certified - Associate Cloud Engineer and a Professional Cloud Architect from Google, as well as being an AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate and an AWS Certified Developer - Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS). The certifications were obtained in various years, with the latest being in January 2021.
