Gregory Brauer

Head of Infrastructure at Caffeine

Gregory Brauer has a diverse background in technology and infrastructure management. Gregory most recently served as the Head of Infrastructure at Caffeine, where they led teams in architecting a highly-scalable live streaming platform. Prior to that, they worked at Jaunt XR as the Director of Technical Operations, where they built and managed a Kubernetes-on-AWS cloud infrastructure for a streaming video content platform. Gregory also played a significant role in transforming the company's cloud services to a fully-containerized deployment workflow and managing security and privacy compliance for GDPR.

Gregory also has experience in the film industry, having worked at DreamWorks Animation as an R&D Supervisor, leading a team in migrating the production pipeline and workflow to Python. Gregory introduced new service-oriented applications for content management and search and played a pivotal role in the production of several films, including How To Train Your Dragon and Kung Fu Panda. Prior to that, they were the Head of Technology at Wild Brain, Inc., overseeing all technical aspects of the company's technology assets and leading pipeline development initiatives. Additionally, they have worked at Industrial Light & Magic and Blue Sky Studios in technical director roles.

Gregory Brauer obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science from the College of Engineering at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Gregory completed their undergraduate education from 1992 to 1998. In addition, Gregory Brauer holds a certification as a Certified Scrum Product Owner, which they received from the Scrum Alliance in October 2014.
