Anatoly Buchin has worked in various roles in the field of neuroscience since 2007. Anatoly's work experience includes being a Research Assistant at the Ioffe Institute from 2007 to 2010, an Intern at the Ecole normale supérieure from 2010 to 2012, a Research Fellow at UCL from 2015 to 2016, a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Washington from 2016 to 2017, and a Scientist I at the Allen Institute for Brain Science from 2017 to 2021. Currently, they are a Senior Scientist at Cajal Neuroscience.
Anatoly Buchin has a diverse educational background. Anatoly obtained a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University in 2009, followed by a Master's degree in Physics from the same university in 2011. Anatoly also obtained a Master's degree in Interdisciplinary Approach in Life Sciences from Université Paris Cité in 2010. In 2015, they received a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computational Neuroscience from Ecole normale supérieure. Additionally, they have attended various courses and workshops, including a Dynamic Brain Workshop at the University of Washington in 2016, a Theoretical Neuroscience course at the Federation of European Neuroscience in 2013, and a Computational Neuroscience course at Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University in 2012. Anatoly has also obtained various certificates from Coursera, including Machine Learning, Improving Deep Neural Networks, Convolutional Neural Networks, Neural Networks and Deep Learning, Sequence Models, Structuring Machine Learning Projects, and Machine Learning Foundations: A Case Study Approach. Anatoly also obtained certifications from PADI for Open Water Diver and Dry Suit Diver in 2019.
