Jason Atkins

Jason Atkins has an extensive work experience in the finance and innovation space. Starting in 2009, they were the Chief Financial Officer of Awesome Group, where they were responsible for performance management, treasury, risk management, financial control and administration. In 2010, they became the Chief Financial Officer of Zupp Property Group, where they were responsible for full financial management, and advising allocations across asset classes. In 2015, they became an Advisor for BIIGTREND (Bright Ideas for Innovation and Growth), specializing in small and medium-sized innovative and growing businesses. In 2017, they became the Director of Enhanced Society, where they worked to create meaningful blockchain projects for businesses. In 2018, they became the Cofounder and Chief Revenue Officer of Cake Equity, where they worked to make the innovation space flourish. Starting in 2020, they became a Mentor for River City Labs, Stone & Chalk, and an Explorer for AirTree. In 2021, they became a Mentor for Startmate. Finally, in 2022, they became a Board Member of FinTech QLD, a community organisation to help people in the industry to better collaborate.

Jason Atkins completed a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) in Accounting and Finance from Griffith University between 2001 and 2004. Jason then went on to obtain a Certified Practicing Accountant from CPA Australia Program between 2007 and 2009. Jason also holds a Certified Practicing Accountant certification from CPA Australia.
