Alex Laas

Alex Laas has a diverse work experience in various roles. In 2007, they worked as a Page at Paul Pratt Memorial Library until 2008. From 2010 to 2012, they were a Fundraiser at the University of Chicago. In 2012, they joined Gurjot New York as the Director of Production, Patternmaking, and Technology until 2017. In 2014, they worked as a freelance Web Developer at Callari Partners LLC. From 2017 to 2019, they worked at Laura Delman LLC as a Pattern Maker and Production Manager. In 2019, they joined Bourbon Summer Cartoon Crisis as a Production Manager, Pattermaker, and Technical Designer. In 2019, they also joined CALA as a Technical Designer. Their most recent role is as a Technical Designer and Patternmaker at Kirrin Finch since 2021. Additionally, since 2017, they have been working as a Freelance Designer, Patternmaker, and Technical Designer at Alex Laas Designs.

Alex Laas attended the University of Chicago from 2008 to 2012, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English/Visual Arts. Afterwards, from 2015 to 2017, they pursued a Certificate in Patternmaking at the Fashion Institute of Technology.
