D'Artagnan Calitz started their work experience in 2021 at California Baptist University as an IT Support Analyst, where they managed server and network hardware and software configurations. D'Artagnan collaborated with various IT sub-departments to identify and evaluate system issues. After that, in 2022, they became the Lead IT Technician, overseeing a team of 12 student IT support specialists and resolving hardware and software issues, resulting in a reduction in support tickets and increased user satisfaction. D'Artagnan also focused on the personal and professional growth of their team members. In the same year, they joined CalBaptist Racing - Formula SAE Team as an Electronics Intern. D'Artagnan was responsible for planning, creating, and validating data acquisition harnesses, and they also conducted research and designed electronic paddle shifters for the next year's car. In 2023, they advanced to the role of Electronics Design Lead, spearheading a radical overhaul of the team's wiring and data collection systems. D'Artagnan developed and implemented an Arduino-based launch control system, resulting in enhanced performance and improved race times.
D'Artagnan Calitz obtained a Matric Diploma from Melkbosstrand Private School in 2020, specializing in Physics, Chemistry, IT, Engineering Graphics and Design, and Web Development. D'Artagnan then pursued a Bachelors of Science degree in Software Engineering at California Baptist University, starting in 2021 and expected to complete in 2025. In addition, D'Artagnan obtained a certification in Foundations of User Experience (UX) Design from Coursera, with the year of completion unspecified.
