Sid Bala

Sid Bala is the current President at HealthChampion. Prior to this, they were with Calcium for 2 years and 2 months where they held the positions of Board Member and President. Calcium is a company that believes a healthier world starts with healthier decisions. They are focused on providing individuals with access to meaningful health data right at their emails, by employing easy, fun-to-use tools and personalized guidance that make healthier decisions easier. Sid was dedicated to helping individuals “think healthier.”

Before their time at Calcium, Sid spent 9 years and 1 month at The Economic Club of Chicago where they were a Board Member, Secretary Board of Directors, and Chairman of the Membership Committee. The ECC is one of nation's most influential forums for the dissemination of economic, business and social views, dedicated to fostering the development of top leaders within Chicago's civic and business community. Sid has also been a Board Member for Silver Cross Hospital for 1 year. Silver Cross Hospital is regional hospital recognized as one of the nation’s 100 Top Hospitals. They have also been acknowledged as one of American’s Friendliest Hospitals and one of the nation's safest hospitals by earning Straight A’s for patient safety from the Leapfrog Group. The hospital is also the recipient of 5 Stars from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid (CMS). Sid serves on Quality & Cost Effectiveness, and Risk Management Committee.

Sid Bala has a degree in Applied Mathematics from the University of Chicago and a Computer Science degree from Stony Brook University. Sid also has an Entrepreneurial Masters Program from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
