Peter Meechan

Peter Meechan is an Executive Partner at Calera Capital. Peter was previously the Chief Corporate Development Officer at Automation Anywhere from April 2017 to August 2021. Automation Anywhere is a global leader in Robotic Process Automation (RPA), empowering customers to automate end-to-end business processes with AI-intelligent software bots. The company offers the world’s only cloud-native and web-based automation platform combining RPA, artificial intelligence, machine learning and analytics.  Automation Anywhere has deployed nearly 3 million bots to support some of the world’s largest enterprises across all industries in more than 90 countries. Peter led corporate and business development for the company. Peter's team collaborated extensively across the entire company and ecosystem to create, from scratch, global corporate initiatives including strategic partnerships, technology alliances, inorganic growth strategy, M&A, global expansion, and intellectual property.

Prior to their role at Automation Anywhere, Peter served as the Chief Operating Officer at ABBYY from January 2013 to December 2017. ABBYY is a leading provider of document recognition, data capture, and linguistic software. Its products include FineReader, Recognition Server, PDF Transformer+, Lingvo Dictionary, and development tools Abbyy FlexiCapture and Abbyy FineReader Engine.

Peter Meechan studied architecture and allied arts at the University of Oregon before completing a Directors' College program at Stanford Law School. Peter later went on to study mergers and acquisitions at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business, and finally completed an Asian studies program at Waseda University in Tokyo, Japan.
