Robert Fenton KC has extensive experience in governance and legal services, currently serving as Chair of the Board of Directors for the Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB) and Chair Elect of the CNIB Foundation Board of Directors since September 2018. In addition to these roles, Robert chairs both the Risk and Investment Committees and is a member of the National Board of Directors for CNIB. Holding a long-term position as Director of Legal Services for the Calgary Police Service since 2001, Robert also contributes to the Canadian Paralympic Committee as Chair of the Governance Committee and legal services officer for the 2018 Paralympic Winter Games. Previous leadership roles include Vice President of the Calgary Speedskating Association and President of the Canadian Blind Sports Association. Academic qualifications include a law degree from Queen's University and a certificate in Professional Management from the University of Calgary.
