David Wilbur

David Wilbur has extensive work experience in engineering and project management. David currently holds the position of Vice President of Engineering and Construction at California Bioenergy LLC since 2020. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of Special Projects at EPM Consulting Services from 2019 to 2020.

From 2015 to 2019, David worked at Airswift, where they held multiple roles. David served as the FE Engineering Superintendent for the Chevron Chuandongbei Gas Project in Nanba, China, managing a team of project engineers, design engineers, construction reps, and contract engineering personnel. David also worked as the Turnaround Project Manager for the turnarounds of the same project, overseeing the maintenance and upgrades of gathering facilities, pipelines, gas plant, and sulfur removal plant facilities.

Before their tenure at Airswift, David briefly worked as a Principal at Excellence in Project Management in 2015. David also gained valuable experience at Freeport-McMoRan Oil & Gas as a Senior Facilities Engineer from 2009 to 2015. In this role, they were responsible for managing the Arroyo Grande Development Project, which involved designing and constructing integrated facilities for oil-water separation, oil sales, water treating, and steam generation.

Prior to that, David worked as a Senior Project Engineer at T J Cross Engineers Inc from 2008 to 2009 and as the Owner of Bakersfield Home Technology from 2002 to 2008. David began their career at Chevron in 1986 as a Facilities Engineering Supervisor and worked there until 2002. Before joining Chevron, they were a Project Engineer at Texaco from 1981 to 1986.

David Wilbur received their Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering from UCLA from 1975 to 1981. Additionally, they obtained California Contractors Licenses, "A" - General Engineering & "C-10" Electrical, from the California State License Board in 1989.
