Jonathan Slakey

Jonathan Slakey is a Director of Data Analysis, leading the maintenance of CCSA’s comprehensive longitudinal dataset on public schools. On top of researching and showcasing charter school student outcomes, Jonathan also develops data tools and data trainings for members. Before CCSA, Jonathan’s work focused on program evaluations: he evaluated a public works program in Afghanistan, afterschool programming in India, and presidential campaign work in North Carolina. Before pursuing a career in data analysis, Jonathan was an educator, teaching skiing in the mountains of Lake Tahoe, and English in the classrooms of rural Japan. In his free time Jonathan tries very hard to win computer and board games, can't turn away from a good non-fiction book, and finds relaxation in the hills and beaches of Southern CA.
