Carter Ott

Carter Ott is an experienced legal professional with a background in consumer protection and complex litigation. Currently serving as a Deputy Attorney General at the California Department of Justice since April 2014, Carter Ott enforces consumer protection laws in civil and administrative proceedings. Previously, as Of Counsel and an Associate at DLA Piper from November 2002 to January 2014, Carter Ott defended nationwide consumer class actions and other complex litigation matters in both federal and state courts. Carter Ott holds a Juris Doctor from the University of California, College of the Law, San Francisco, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Tufts University. Education was completed at The Bishop's School, graduating in 1994.
