Jacquelyn Young serves as a Deputy Attorney General in the Health, Education and Welfare Section at the California Department of Justice since March 2016, representing state agencies in court actions and administrative proceedings. In addition, Jacquelyn is an Adjunct Professor at Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, where instruction focuses on writing appellate briefs and delivering persuasive oral arguments. Prior to these roles, Jacquelyn was selected for a post-graduate fellowship with the American Board of Trial Advocates, gaining experience by clerking for senior partners and a judge while assisting in trial preparation and drafting legal motions. Jacquelyn holds a Juris Doctor degree from Loyola Law School, specializing in civil litigation and advocacy, and a Bachelor's Degree in Political Economy and Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley, complemented by study abroad experience in Chinese Studies at Fudan University.
