Katie Grainger

Katie Grainger is a Deputy Attorney General at the California Department of Justice since October 2020, with prior experience as a Law Clerk at the City of Mountain View City Attorney's Office and the California Department of Justice. Katie's legal expertise includes work as a Legal Intern at VSolvit and significant contributions to the eCrimes Unit of the California Department of Justice, focusing on complex electronic and technological criminal cases. A background in conflict analysis was developed at Hogan Lovells, where Katie identified and addressed conflict of interest issues. Additionally, research skills were honed as a Research Assistant at the UC Davis Developmental Research Center, coupled with leadership experience in various roles at UC Davis campus organizations. Educational achievements include a law degree from UC Hastings and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with minors in Spanish and Political Science from UC Davis.
