Keith Wurster

Keith Wurster is a seasoned legal professional currently serving as a Deputy Attorney General at the California Department of Justice since July 2020. Prior to this role, Wurster was a Senior Litigation Attorney and Director of Pro Bono and Strategic Partnerships at the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights of the San Francisco Bay Area from August 2015 to July 2019. Wurster's legal career also includes a significant tenure at Baker & McKenzie, LLP as an Attorney, focusing on International and Commercial Litigation as well as Pro Bono work from April 2000 to June 2015, and an Associate position in Commercial Litigation and Insurance Defense at Ropers, Majeski, Kohn & Bentley from 1998 to February 2000. Wurster's foundational experience includes serving as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Army from August 1985 to June 1991.
