Lila Garlinghouse

Lila Garlinghouse is a Deputy Attorney General at the California Department of Justice since July 2023, having previously served as an Associate Attorney at Schubert Jonckheer & Kolbe LLP. Lila garnered legal experience as a Judicial Extern for Hon. Andrew Y at the San Francisco Superior Court and worked as a Certified Law Clerk for the Contra Costa Public Defender. Earlier roles include a Summer Legal Intern at the Capital Post Conviction Project of Louisiana, an Immigration Program Specialist at Postmates Inc., and a Paralegal at Berry Appleman & Leiden LLP. Lila holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of San Francisco School of Law and a Bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
