Sean McGuire

Sean McGuire currently serves as a Deputy Attorney General at the California Department of Justice, a position held since October 2023. McGuire's prior experience includes serving as an Associate at Robbins Geller Rudman & Dowd LLP from January 2021 to October 2023, and as a Federal Public Defender in the Felony Trial Unit at the Federal Defenders of San Diego, Inc. from September 2018 to January 2021. Previous roles also include a Law Clerk at the United States District Court, a Felony Unit Intern at the San Francisco Public Defender's Office, and various internships at the ACLU of Southern California and Stanford Law School Religious Liberty Clinic. McGuire holds a Juris Doctor degree from Stanford Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and International Relations from the University of Southern California. Additionally, McGuire has academic experience at the Geneva Graduate Institute.
