Chris Silva, P.G., M.S., is a Senior Engineering Geologist at the California Department of Water Resources since July 2019, bringing extensive experience from previous roles, including Senior Professional Geologist at Brown and Caldwell and Surficial Data Logging Geologist at Halliburton. Early career experiences include working as a Geologist at Tierras Australes in Chile and as an Exploration Geologist at Timberline Resources, where core sampling and geochemical analysis supported subsurface exploration. A foundation in hydrology was established as a Hydrologic Technician with the U.S. Geological Survey. Chris holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s Degree in Geology from California State University-Sacramento, complemented by a certificate in Automotive Technologies and Fabrication from Wyotech-West Sacramento.
