Ellen P. Preece

Ellen P. Preece is a highly experienced scientist specializing in limnology and biological assessments. Currently serving as a Senior Scientist at the California Department of Water Resources since February 2023, Ellen also holds the position of Limnologist at Robertson-Bryan, Inc. since June 2015 and is an Adjunct Faculty member at Washington State University since January 2017. Ellen's extensive background includes roles as a Graduate Research Assistant at Washington State University, a Biological Science Technician for the US Forest Service and the U.S. Geological Survey, a Wildland Firefighter, and service as an AmeriCorps Volunteer. Ellen earned a PhD and an MS in Limnology from Washington State University and holds a BS in Environmental and Resource Economics and Environmental Conservation from the University of New Hampshire.
