Grant Thornton possesses extensive experience in environmental science and management, currently serving as the Unit Manager for the Habitat Restoration Environmental Compliance Unit within the California Department of Water Resources since January 2021. Previous roles include Senior Environmental Scientist in the Division of Engineering, Associate Environmental Planner at Caltrans, and Environmental Scientist at the State Water Resources Control Board. Early career experiences include roles as an Environmental Services Intern at California State Parks and a Biological Science Intern at River Partners. Grant Thornton also has academic experience as a lecturer at California State University, Chico, and holds a Master's Degree in Environmental Science and a BA in International Relations.
